Because the last paycheck of 25 in December will be for whatever he credited in November. If hes done for the month then he knows what his 25 W2 will be. December flying will be part of the first check of 26 in January.
November isn't even over..also we get the first half of our December paycheck on December 30 at Delta which counts towards this year's W2.
