A 220/195 is a 100+ seat jet. Should pay the same as our currently negotiated rates. They can’t contract RJ’s outside of AK/HI and we’d be stupid for allowing it domestically. If you think we can make $ on a 75 seat jet to the hill’s and ville’s at our current rates…let’s do it. There’s a reason mainline doesn’t operate them even though current RJ pay is pretty much in line with mainline pay based on jet size now.

I’d fly a 172 from DEN-COS all day for the same pay/days off but that makes no sense from a revenue perspective.
Well, the beauty of our contract is they can't do it without our approval. And I don't care what the economics look like. But for the people salivating at mergers (giving away seniority) or flying a smaller airplane (shiny *smaller* jet syndrome) because it might add hulls and create growth even at the expense of a lesser pay rate, I guess we wouldn't be the first to shoot ourselves in the foot playing airline CEO. Like I said before, I'm senior enough that I'd probably come out relatively unscathed. But a great many of you wouldn't. Be careful what you wish for. [Not directed at you flyguy81]
