Good Lord... some people really need to see forest for the trees. Who gives a damn if some schmuck considers reserve to be time off or a work day? Let me roll another one down..... is banging out sick considered days off? Some of the peabrains here will undoubtedly start arguing whether or not that should count. Hint... who cares??
On the other hand, here's what most are really looking for:
Brand X WB FO 7th year, reserve all year, 4 trips to the sim to do bounces because he never gets used even for IRO work. <---- this speaks volumes.
or Brand Y NB CA 5th year, reserve, getting called out 8 of 18 days per month. This gives an idea of how things work at their airline... and sure goes a long way to answer questions from those people who keep posting Brand X vs. Brand Y vs. Brand Z airline threads.
or Brand Z NB FO 2nd year, line holder, hustler trying to put a kid through private school/buy a house/catch up on retirement, etc.
That type of info is useful... to some it's how much or how little time do you actually spend in the monkey suit and away from home, to others it's how much money can you make if you hustle and whether the work rules allow it, to yet others what's going senior, what's going junior, the importance of soft money, etc.
