And it will hurt recruiting.
I kind of hope it does in a way. I have this misguided notion that senior leadership might come to thier senses if recruiting suffers or morale plummets. Unfortunately, it won't have any effect. People will still line up to sign up and they will replace me with much less experience quite easily.
