Hey folks, would love to revive this thread. Fortunate to be sitting with an AS and Big 3 CJO and wondering how you think the eventual JCBA might compare to Big 3 contracts once ratified. Do you see the gap narrowing to be more competitive? And if so, in what areas? Essentially what current shortfalls seem to cause the most grumbles and hassle in terms of pay and QOL that also might get the most traction with the company during negotiation? Or do you see it maintaining roughly the same disparity as the current CBA and just broadening to address HA operations? Finally, what are some things you think the current CBA does better than Big 3 competition?
No 121 experience, but I know the devil is in the details so trying to learn what I can about where AS might be heading with the shakeup.
I also realize that this next contract alone won't define a 25 year career and that it's largely vibes based speculation at this point, but can't hurt to ask. Cheers!
