Chins I understand 100% what you are saying and have known this. Yes XJT can have the planes but the company can't afford the ones they have. This pretty much means CAL can do what they want with them. If XJT starts playing hardball and someone shows up with a few 145s, ie SkyWest with newly aquired 145s, CAL can tell XJT "Fine keep the planes" so they can pull the rent in on them while contracting out to someone cheaper. But XJT can't make that move so it's up to CAL.
XJT cant afford the ones they have? we had been severely limited to bid on additional flying. If we had given up those 69 chq would have all of them (xr's and lr's) and would be under a long term cpa. CAL would also not be negotiating with us to park 135's and er's in exchange for our branded xr's and lr's. If we renegotiate with CAL expect our MFN clause to go away, planes taken from branded and swapped into the CAL 205 1-1, our delta flying to continue till mid 09 where we could negotiate for a larger contract, charter to continue but on a limited basis, and we could compete for contracts elsewhere without limitations. Our company isnt going anywhere fast. The regional market will just get that much more competitive.
