To add a few more words to TED’s more words…it’s the LATER of midnight that calendar day OR 9 hrs after the schedule debrief time (local) or 9 hrs after scheduled positive space flight blocks in (commuter)
To clarify the bold part, the positive space flight applies to pilots not based where the training is taking place (either ATL or SLC). Their training rotation will have a PS flight “built” from their base to ATL/SLC and back. That scheduled flight is what the 9 hours is based on. It doesn’t matter if you don’t take that flight and instead take a different flight either to your base or to the city of your choice.
