Why do some people still say this? For the past 5-10 years at least during OE it's been taught that the PM does the walkaround as standard. If you're NOT doing it, just speak up so it doesn't get missed.
I know it used to be different but now it comes off as "I'm doing you a favor, champ". Don't really care either way, just a random thought.
Because you work at the only airline that calls it Air Lines and CA’s rarely do a walk around. When I was on CA OE one of my LCA’s said I better not catch you doing a walk around during your first few hundred hours you need to learn how to manage the operation since you’re new to the left seat.
