The FACT is at the regional level, there are MORE issues. Regionals are played off against one another, doesn't happen on the same magnitude as with you mighty "legacy" pilots. If CAL was about to be bought out, and YOUR job may be in question, do you think you would be so passive and happy go lucky? Doubt it.
It's the airlines my friend. Your job and mine is ALWAYS in question. Been there, done that. We worked for the same place once remember? And yes, I read the other forums too. I was not attempting to single out any one group, so I apologize if that's how my posting came across. I don't recall ever in the history of my career ever alluding to anybody being better than someone else.
I was merely sitting here thinking about what a nice day it is here today in our nation's capitol and despite the fact that I'll most likely be furloughed in the fall, have accepted that it is a byproduct (unfortunately) of doing what I love. Everyone (is that all encompassing enough for you?) needs to rally together to protect the industry as a whole. Too often things are made to seem personal on here, when as I pointed out - they are not. Business is business.
Funny how at all the Air, Inc. seminars I've been to not a single pilot was ever scorned or ridiculed by their peers in person, but the keyboard makes it so simple and acceptable.
The day we all stop working to improve this situation together, we have lost.
