The problem is, those numbers are moving targets. Every new hire over the age of 45, for instance, is going to retire in the next 20 years, and will all add to those current numbers. Granted, we aren’t hiring a lot of 64 year olds so the numbers in the short term numbers won’t change much, but the retiree numbers 20-25 years out will almost certainly be higher than what is currently being shown, and the farther you look out the less accurate those numbers are actually going to be.
