If scheduling calls and "asks" if you can do it in 30 minutes, they're violating the PWA and need to be reported to ALPA.
They can call and ask if you can be there in 30 minutes and you can say no. They still MUST give you the trip. If they skip you AT THEIR CONVENIENCE, you are due a penalty for assignment out of order
