The best thing you can do, especially if you want to learn to fly as affordably as possible is to plan ahead and take some time to save some money. I know its harder than it sounds but flight training is all about momentum and you want to have a lump sum to pull from so you dont have to wait for paychecks to fly. I recommend working as much as possible for a year or two before you start to save.

When you do start, then you can and should apply for all the scholarships you can.
