Totally agree, however I guess I could also make the case that during negotiations there were no plans to go to assigned seating, so how much time and effort are you really going to put into ironclad language for deadheads in the event the company went to assigned seating? I'm glad they had the forethought to put anything in there at all under the circumstances.
anything is thinking ahead but why stop at such vauge language when the big purpose was to rewrite so language would not be an issue.
Also when they negotiated this they had to know it was a 10 yr contract. It should have been better but I feel they were getting negation fatigue
