To address your $7 vs $11k GS example though (again, a totally separate issue), that’s not even how that would work. The communal 23M7 pot, as you’ve described it, would get paid to everyone, even if they are on vacation or working a full schedule all month / completely unavailable. So the pilot taking the $11k GS would ALSO get the $7. It’s not an either or scenario.

On days on which a pilot would otherwise not be working, they would be farming to maximize their category’s M7 payout.
