The schoolhouse doesn’t have an “official word”. There is this false belief that the training department is privy to strategic intel. They aren’t. Hiring plans are shared to help them anticipate training needs but those change semi-weekly. Nobody is sharing corporate strategy and anybody that did would likely be in breach of an NDA.
My personal experience with airline training departments is they do get "privy intel"......
Privy the morning of, or the day before, everyone else finds out the big news. Not really sure how privy that is.
