Nominal schedule is 16/12, with travel days built into the 16. Expect to be out all 16 days. Split lines with shorter trips are a rarity normally. Trip construction varies. There is a lot reserve built into our overall schedule. The bid package changes all the time and reserve is often mixed into flying lines. Carry in and carry out days dominate the available lines, making it pretty difficult to escape at least a few days of reserve. Open time comes and goes, and the awarding process if you volunteer is anything but transparent. Usually calling in to volunteer for a specific trip results in a “we’ll add you to the volunteer list” and no promises.
