It seems that Frontier would not be hiring and growing if indeed it was going to acquire Spirit. It looks like they are trying to capture their market share organically which signals they have decided against a merger.
I see what you’re saying here but the lists wouldn’t merge for some time. Considering deliveries of new aircraft at F9 and high attrition and even cancellations of the latest furloughs at Spirit it seems logical that they would hire at Frontier for a bit. NK and F9 need to keep their airlines running separately until a merge. IF it even happens.
