You could set up a text notification for trips that met your parameters, and when such a thing came up, you could call or text then and ask for the trip. That was 10% of the time. The other 90%, they were blowing up our phones just like this place (except they actually answered when you called back).
The majority of deal making cases I have personally observed are by ex-military pilots who truly didn’t know what they were doing. The IA situation mentioned above is one such case.
Interesting, I never tried the phone route. I had my text notifications set and I could go from text received to swap/pickup submitted in Skedplus in under a minute. I never once called Crew Support to make a deal in 4 yrs at OO. They did call me a ton.
But it wasn't even "deal making". They called me for a trip offering premium pay and I just answered yes or no thanks. If guys were negotiating higher % premium for trips on the phone with CS then I had no clue.
