We all have perspective. Most of us saw what 01-09 did to our parents and friends. They weren't lucky enough to take a 50% paycut and still make top 10% wages and, within 10 years, make top 1% wages.
I hit 60 a couple of years ago. It was a while before I realized that I should have been retired by then. And I saw how arbitrary and ridiculous the age 60 rule was. That's the perspective I'm talking about.
