We all have perspective. Most of us saw what 01-09 did to our parents and friends. They weren't lucky enough to take a 50% paycut and still make top 10% wages and, within 10 years, make top 1% wages.
I actually took a 100% paycut with a furlough. Then a pay raise loading FedEx trucks. Then a paycut to go back to xjt fo. Not everyone fit into the box you painted. It suxed for everyone.
Make your case it’s fine. That’s how it’s supposed to work. But Where lepf lost me was going against the vast majority of memberships wishes. Followed by suing their own union and making alpa look bad in front of congress. Potentially taking away a bit of credibility. You hurt everyone with that imo.
