Laser energy is light...if you block light, you can't see out the windows.

It is possible to make a material where you can turn on a tint rapidly, this is being used in new airplanes for pax windows to replace the window shades. But I doubt such a device could react quickly enough...they depend on the mechanical motion of tiny crystals in the material. While LCDs have pretty quick respone times, the speed of light is hard to beat...

It only takes a fraction of a second for a high-power laser to dazzle, even damage, the retina.

I like the predator idea...
