count yourself lucky and try not to be a jerk to those who are probably looking at 30-40% less career earnings than their luckier peers.
I’m not even hoping for a top 1% career, just an average or good career and not feeling like a second class worker to my peers who had life go more favorably for them to end up at regionals before Covid. Thats literally it.
no offense but seriously how coddled are you? CLEARLY you need to understand this industry’s history if you’re gonna ***** about long upgrades/years as an FO. That’s just historically normal. You have people who’ve been furloughed multiple times, merged with a new airline and got shafted, displaced, base closed, flew a panel, etc. you having to fly the normal amount of time in the right seat making more then they did over 5 years is just ridiculous. You make more then me as a LCC pilot then I did my first three years flying RJ’s COMBINED and I had an easy path. Those hired around 9/11 and were part of the lost decade had the real **** end of the stick and you rarely hear them *****. They accepted the cruel mistress that is timing in the industry and move on with their careers.
The worst part is you went practically CFI to a LCC job you didn’t even experience a regional or any serious industry woes. With not even 3k hours and zero TPIC? Wow. Just wow.
