The 220 pays significantly less and doesn’t have the same base flexibility. New hires probably go to it hoping for better short term seniority because they know it’s growing in the now. 73 probably went junior on this bid because it was NYC. If I was getting forced into NYC, I’d pick the plane that gave me the best shot at short term seniority.
