You can bet your bottom dollar Management will say anything and everything to keep the labor costs low. I would wager they end up with a percentage of the savings.

Just look at this company When I got hired the pay was $35/hr within a few years that got boosted to $100/hr I am sure that money just fell right out of the sky. It's funny how much you can afford when you don't have a choice. Same with the bonuses when they were giving them out.

Here is some quick and dirty math
New fo training =100,000
2 years fo salary =220,000
training events = 30,000
Avg hours = 1000
F9 pays roughly $350/hr for avg FO that leaves at the two year mark.
Arguably less hours than avg.... Most new pilots here never fly and will do maybe 400hrs their first 2 years.
