Do the legacies do the same for our pilots when they are onboarded or are you just expected to learn their way? Unless there is a special short course specifically for them since they are almost turnkey pilots?
There is a "short" course for NK pilots - as the merger goes through, expect this to dominate hiring for the next 6-9 months and then it will die down. This is a GOOD thing for them and the company. As far as I'm concerned, NK pilots are our brothers/sisters and I would hope someone would welcome me if I were in the same position but I see it as neutral as I don't really care where we get our pilots from. Perhaps having pilots w/ prior experience will help OR maybe old habits are hard to break.
Bottom line - if ANYONE is waiting for lack of pilots to help expedite negotiations, prepare to be disappointed. There will be essentially an ENDLESS supply of pilots for the next couple of years as supply > demand (even with legacy retirements).
