I can tell you they went after all those American Eagle kids who took those retention bonuses during COVID and bounced. There were a few here at F9, which is how I know. Some of them even went to AA which is kinda funny.
They told me it started with emails, calls from their former CPs, and eventually letters from lawyers.
The other problem was the taxation. They had to pay back the full amount. Not the amount they received after taxes. Which was substantial. Like thousands of dollars.
is this hiring/training contract bonus different from that retention bonus? Or whatever they’re calling these things. Idk. Not a lawyer.
