Well, Rick is somewhat right. Mgmnt does a great job pulling the wool over most of our eyes by saying that SAPA, who’s salaries are paid by Mgmnt and not by the pilots, works for us and that they actually negotiated the rates. When in fact the only part of the process we get to be a part of is voting yes or no, in which case this pilot group has proven that they will only vote yes when it comes to a pay proposal, even if it's only 1%. Also keep in mind that SAPA only gets to negotiate when Mgmnt tells them what they can negotiate for and when they can negotiate for it, in other words, they are puppets and nothing more. Even Tony “Dubbya” (LOL) will attest to the fact that when Mgmnt is done they are done and neither SAPA nor we pilots have any say in it.
But, as for our new pay policies, they came to pass due to the failed union vote and not ASA’s CBA.
