Same reason I’m not running for the exits here. If B6 goes BK some time, I’ll deal with it and move on. Having faith in yourself is so much more stabilizing than trying to find a corporate entity to have faith in. Spirit, and this place, is just a job.
Respectfully disagree.

Working at Chipotle is a job. Working at Home Depot is a job. Being a pilot at a major airline is a career, and one that most of us have spent decades trying to achieve. It isn't just a job that I can stumble into. No other job is going to pay me high 6 figures and offer the QOL I have. It's the reason many of us are running for the exit, and it's because we don't want to spend years at a company that may go under and risk losing that career we worked so hard for. While none of us can predict the future, at this moment in time we can probably agree that a position at the big 3 is much more stable and secure than a position at B6 or Spirit.
