That will also vary depending on where you live, and student loan debt. Mine was finally paid off (when I was 46) and it was a mortgage payment.

And no, I didn't go to Riddle and finance everything. Engineering school, mid pack as far as cost, and not eligible for in state tuition at any state school.

I do pretty well but I was fortunate to get into the housing market 25 years ago, and wasn't looking at 4x year 2 FO pay to buy a 1200sqft 3/2 on a postage stamp lot.
