If I understand QS's correctly, I think they're going to have the same impact on me the way IA's currently do, just from the other direction.

Let's just use rough made up math and say in a month there's 100 trips that need to be covered by premium flying. In the past that might mean 90/100 of those trips go out as a GS and I usually end up getting my GS sometime in the back half of the month. The other 10 went out as an IA.

As it stands today that might be something more like 50/100 of those trips go out as a GS and the other 50 go out as an IA. Now obviously as a commuter that's 50 IA trips I'm unable to pick up because I wouldn't make it in time. The result of that being 50 or so less trips that filled up GS's senior to me. AKA I don't end up seeing any green slips at the back half of the month anymore.

What I'm seeing with QS's is a plug and play of the IA just from the other direction if I understand them correctly. Now 50 seniors get their GS but they will also get their crack at 50 QS's, thus GS's still not reaching me the way they used to. And yes of course there's seniors to me that are also commuters, this is just rough math. There's always going to be less GS's in the pot whether IA or QS and the Junior Commuter feels that the most.

Anyway, thats my TED talk and I'd love to be visualizing this wrong so please chime in. And obligatory yes I've tried being more senior while also understanding commuting is a choice
I’ve argued this exact point in this thread and I think you are right. I’m guessing it will affect commuters and non-commuters, but obviously in different ways. The contract has fundamentally changed and will have a large impact on everyone’s W2, yet never went to MEMRAT. Both the change and the execution were huge mistakes imo. Solution? Just uproot your family and get senior, like yesterday.
