HA doesn’t have a wholly owned subsidiary consisting of AZ pilots. We also don’t have a separate seniority list, we have a CVG base, that is all.
All names will be removed from the integration, The chips will fall where they may. There may or may not be fences towards the 737. If not, and an AZ pilot has to bid 737, that is what will happen if they can hold it. Same with AS pilots if there are no widebody fences and a displacement should happen.
If the #1 AZ pilot happened to be the #1 senior HA pilot, by your logic he will fall behind other HA pilots simply because he chose to go to CVG instead of commuting to HNL? ( or he really liked all the soft money)
I’m no HA cheerleader, but your logic is flawed in that you aren’t understanding the AZ contract doesn’t make them ACMI pilots in the context of legacy airline benefits and work rules. They work under the best freight rules in the industry and are amongst the highest paid vs. FDX/UPS.
You can keep wishing the AZ pilots will suffer seniority losses, it’s just not gonna happen. They aren’t putting names or current job titles into SLI. It’s “X” number of slots. There is no windfall if you are a Cpt vs FO or AZ pilot vs pax pilot. Thats why there is no need for an FO to go to the left seat before integration to secure they reap more benefits of seniority
It’s very convenient to call us a crappy ACMI. In reality the 330F pilots are the highest paid cargo pilots in the industry. Also the only widebody freight pilots to fly under part 117 (i think sun country does 117 for amazon). Definitely a superior W2 and QOL when compared to legacy AS flying.
