I'm still thinking another airplane will be announced at some point in the near(?) future, it could be more B767s. But there is likely already a need for a Group V airplane (A330/B777/A350/B787 etc) at some point with our oldest 747-400s showing their age. By definition, no Group V (i.e. wingspan > 171 ft) will fit on the wing parking spots at Worldport, so any widebody freighter (except B767) will have to park on ramps 9 or 11. There is also an SDF master plan with a new ramp 8 as a possibility as well.
Leaning forward with a dash of subcontracting and another dash of the company violating the contract....that easily replaced almost 10 percent of missing lift.
New fleet?
