yeah and the point is, at ALPA, an MEC or a pilot group of an airline cannot vote to merge (or leave or whatever). Card drive, 50%+1, or nothing else.

One could argue we’re lucky it’s not that way at APA and they at least allow any vote at all on a merger.

this is all theoretical anyway. If ALPA puts forth an awesome deal it won’t be close. Months of roadshows and education campaigns will bring out the vote. It’s nothing like a presidential election.

I support keeping the bar high to motivate ALPA to give us the best deal possible. Yall are crazy to argue we should be lowering voting threshold in the middle of negotiations.
