It is outdated, but honestly, this whole thing raises a bigger issue. I don’t think our pay scales, retirement contributions, or seat/longevity rates should be posted publicly in the first place. None of this information needs to be out there for anyone and everyone to dissect. What we make as airline pilots is private, and it’s strange that it’s all being broadcast online like it’s public property. At some point, this stuff should just be taken down altogether.
Actually it’s not private at all. Google United Pilot contract and there are multiple links to it. Many travel blogs even post pay rate charts immediately upon the signing of a new contract by any airline. I’m prior Navy so I don’t have an issue personally. My entire career post college has had published pay rates. Mine are just bigger now.
