I’ve been wondering that recently too. With all the airspace/airport constraints we have, would it be worth it to configure certain WBs for short haul ops like the A-300. Maybe replace the a330-300s on intl routes with -900s and convert the -300s to a short haul optimized cabin. I would think they could hold 350+ pax and would allow us to increase capacity into places that are currently slot/airspace constrained.
