Very doubtful aside from AC positioning flights. They’d either have to be dedicated domestic config or half lay flat. Not sure if a larger WB would be able to command that much premium pricing especially when lay flat transcons have became an LCC level commodity with hundreds of thousands of seats being dumped per year at fractions of previous yields.

The 787 should be intentionally used on some domestic legs for a yer or two while the fleet stands up otherwise a significant share of the initial pilot group will get 3X pay all year. The “flagship“ concept is cool but first every new pilot needs legs and landings and that’s hard to come by 12-16 hours at a time.
