I agree completely. It’s hard to believe gu would step aside and allow RJ to navigate the local through a merger when his own position and division are at risk. That context makes the internally filed charges against AR harder to view in isolation. While gu has claimed the matter was referred to the government, there has been no indication of any action from the Department of Labor or the Department of Justice. Taken together, it raises real questions about motive and control at a critical moment.
