Good day and I have to go fly.
And who says Jerry doesn't lie to you guys? Seriously, he told ya'll that? I was THERE in 1998 and a few years after. Had block or better, full cancellation, 100% deadhead, all off of Delta schedules, etc. that the previous poster listed. And yes, SKW pilots only got the Brad Holt override for higher 70 seat pay when JA saw ASA pilots would under no circumstance fly 70 seaters for 50 seat wages as SKW pilots did for 5 years. There is just 1 example of a unionized workforce making your life better JJ, so get with the program. Your yes vote was a good start at improving your and your fellow employees' QOL, but it didn't end because the drive failed.
I am not, for the record, a rabid pro-union guy. Unions have their problems, many rehashed by SKW pilots. I do, on the other hand, realize management cares only about the shareholder and their individual bonus payouts. Management in this industry has never had a pilot's welfare or best interests at heart. Even at SKW. Look at how your pay and benefits lagged other pilot groups historically. I also don't want the "Yeah, but we're on top" speech either. United used to be on top, as did Delta. Things change. Make the best of it while you are on top and hold on when things get rough.
