It may not seem like much but it sure can improve one’s QOL.

BTW, I voted NO for the pay proposal. I wanted a CHO (Credit Hour Override) so that our pilots will get paid the override on the pairings credit value. This can easily be accomplished by using the pairings A/C identifier to set the pilot pairing pay rate. If it is a CR7 or CR9 ID pairing then all the credit (including DH's and Training) will get paid out with the override.
Or you could have a system like XJT's. XJT has 30 37 seaters. When FOs upgrade, they either hold the 37 or 50 seat rate. If you hold the 37 seat rate, you get paid the 37 seat rate ONLY when you fly the 37 seater but when you fly the 50 seater, you get paid for the 50 seat rate (except if you are reserve and don't break MMG). There are no separate lines. Everyone bids the same lines/pairings whether you hold the 37 seat rate or the 50 seat rate.

Yes there were a few planes that were transferred over but when we received the 12 CR7's from Comair 4 went to SKW and 8 to ASA. Bottom line, planes move and sometimes they move without the lose or gain of flying.
ALPA's Fee For Departure Task Force is working on rectifying this. As a matter of fact, there is a bilateral agreement between two ALPA pilot groups and their respective management's that would allow pilots to transfer over with their aircraft and given seniority. Bottom line, if your are not ALPA, or at least union, you cannot help to prevent the whipsaw this creates.

It seems that our pay and QOL "policies" helped them more than their CBA helped us.

Take a look at the timeline and you’ll see that the SKW pay negotiations spiked shortly after the failed vote.
ASA had already negotiated their CBA while the ALPA drive was ongoing. Skywest even put propaganda out using ASA's TA. The negotiations were already over by the time SKW put out their pay rates for Skywest. And the only reason why there even was a TA at that "coincidental" timeline, is because JA had to be dragged into the negotiations by the NMB and Prater to finally get it done with the threat that ASA would be released if there wasn't one.

But WE’VE HAD YOUR NEW WORK RULES FOR ALMOST A DECADE now and you just got them.

I mean no offense, just correcting your errors.
Skywest management themselves have said that ASA's CBA is worth 4% more than Skywest's pay/benefits and work rules. PBS alone is worth that much to Skywest management.
