The aircraft that XJT is giving back to CAL are replacing the SRJs, one for one. There is no net gain. The deal with CAL/SKW was going to be for a net gain of 29 aircraft (to CAL). I believe CAL's last minute fleet reduction plan made them shy away from that and sign a CPA with XJT for a status quo of 205 aircraft, at least until next July.
Look at it again though. Because Skywest would sign a deal for 29 aircraft with CAL and we would shrink with CAL. We wouldn't be flying 205 aircraft for them. Hence there wouldn't have been a net gain with Skywest signing a CPA with them. Of course this is after CAL started a pulldown from XJT.
