United operates out of 370 airports worldwide. Getting some gates at 1 airport at a $10B cost (purchase price plus debt acquisition) is dumb. Its not even an airport that guarantees massive profitability. JetBlue and American operate out of there and I bet they both lose money solely in JFK. It adds little marginal value to United except they want to do LAX/SFO to JFK and don't need an entire acquisition for that, just 20 slots, which is what they have been saying and even said at the fall standards meeting that with the partnership there is no reason to acquire JetBlue.

Not to mention the number of gates/slots etc we would have to get rid of to make it happen makes it even a worse deal.

Just because some rando blogger trying to get clicks writes a blog that United should buy JetBlue doesn't mean anything. I remember in 2019 the "United is buying Jetblue" rumors. We are in Year 7 of "United is buying Jetblue imminently".
