Parties don't necessarily ensure a candidate's ideology. Bill Richardson is a Democrat, but he tends to be of a conservative ideology. Does that mean the Democrat party is now the home of conservatism? As you pointed out in a previous post, most of em are the same. Point is you have to research and read a fellows works to get a feel for which direction he comes from and where he is headed.
