You should be thanking a pilot group working for a contract which is fair and reasonable, which your company will base its next contract off of. You think you are so safe with your new 7 year contract... if Continental doesn't consilidate they are a likely victim to ch. 11 which would wipe that contract out. You may soon find yourself applying to 9E, espicially when we have and industry leading-average contract. Luckily most of us don't know your name cause you certainly wound't be welcome in any interview I conducted. If anything you should be taking this oppourtunity to create bridges and oppourtunities to other places instead of putting yourself in a hole at XJT that you cannot escape.
