17EE is my normal size if using a Brannock tool (the sizing thing you see in stores occasionally) but the variations brand to brand have had anything from a 16-4D to 18F.
I have some custom shoes the VA made me in the prosthetics shop that fit but are ugly as hell and the Oxford style kitchen shoes that are the only other thing that's lasted has now attracted the ire of an LCA who has brought it to my attention hat "the soles on those are not FOM compliant"
RM Williams has some hobbit feet options. Not cheap, but worth every penny in my opinion. You can also email them with your specific foot shape and voice concerns preemptively.
