While true it is definitely not the norm and rare to find ones that want to do their job. I actually thanked a younger low seniority crew because they were eager to serve the customers. Very rare across all levels of seniority. I just had a crew of FAs not serve and it was barely a nibble of very light. But I heard the ones in back say it was too bumpy in the back. Then they asked me if I could turn the seatbelt sign on. Yeah NO! Another clown called me and tells me with 25,000 hours that in his professional opinion (170xxxx) that I should turn the seatbelt sign on. Barely light and we were going down to smooth in 30 seconds. Yeah another no.
Same. If I genuinely forget (I don't) to turn on the sign in real chop or turbulence, I welcome their input. Otherwise, they can **** and concentrate on pouring cokes. The new ones are the worst. The next time one
tells me to do
anything they'll be explaining to their boss why they got kicked off on the next stop.
