I thought the extra sims this year were valuable because they give us a chance to do something that we rarely do….fly the airplane. It’s a little basic instrument refresher. I thought it was fine and good practice. I didn’t take it as anything but that. If anything, it reaffirmed to me that if it all goes away, I am fine. Fortunately also, the 737 makes you practice that every month or so when the autopilot kicks off or the FMC or vnav suddenly go haywire. Job security.
