You are missing the point. It’s not about who’s doing it , it’s not ideal regardless. If it had been pilots on my flight yesterday , I would’ve said pilots. Now to the last part , i get the “humans do human things” idea, although it’s interesting you don’t really see that same lack of situational awareness play out the same way in places like Singapore or ANA.
Which kind of suggests it’s less about being human and more about the standard of situational awareness that’s expected. Either way there is a problem to fix
