That's how it should be. If they depend on new hire FO qualifying for food stamps to stay in business, they deserve to go out of business. Same if they depend on captain wage being 60k/year, they don't deserve to be in business.
100%. I was a 11 yr CA making $86/hr when I came here in ‘15. 11 yr pay is now $182.88. FO pay was barely over $40 for a topped out FO…now it’s $98. They have rigs, cx pay, pay multiples, etc. It’s a night and day difference and I honestly thought with those CBA gains they’d be brought into the fold a lot sooner. Maybe the wholly owned thing works best with metered flows for their business model?
