...as far as MDG, NW had that before BK. Being wary of the consequences of MDG is smart, but the idea as a whole it’s bad just because regionals use it doesn’t follow for me. I would be curious to compare the results of trips produced by the following 3 scenarios
- current
- keep ADG 5:15 and raise MDG to 3:00
- get rid of ADG and raise MDG to 4:30
This is a good example of taking the time to make sure of your details. NW had a minimum duty period of 4:15, not a minimum daily guarantee of 4:15. BIG difference. In some ways it functioned like a MDG, but in others, yea, not so much.
