UPT (Undergraduate Pilot Training) for ANG/AFR pilots is conducted with Active Duty pilots. I.e., you would be in a class with mostly AD folks. There is no ANG/AFR only pilot training program until after pilot training.

If the question is how much time off you get...not much. They give you about a week at Christmas, the usual long Thanksgiving weekend, maybe a few days between tracks, plus most of the federal holiday weekends. It's a very structured, very inflexible program. But the training cannot be beat.

The amount of flying in your unit will vary with airframe type, so it might be difficult to estimate. Heavy guys of all stripes are flying their butts off. If you volunteer to deploy, especially with an AD unit, you will get a LOT of time. Good luck!
